Leaving the steerer tube extra long preserves your ability to raise and lower the stem later, but forces you to use an ugly space on top. Also many carbon steerer tubes require that the steerer tube extend above the stem (please refer to your bike's specific instructions). This little guy neatly solves those problems.

• Total weight (cap + bolt): 5mm= 11g, 10mm= 13g, 15mm=15g. Compare to a standard flat stem cap and steel bolt at 20 grams + spacers add even more.
