Live cycling on Peacock, NBC, USA, and CNBC - pricing, availability, review

If you want to watch the 2024 Tour de France from the USA, NBC's Peacock app or USA/NBC/CNBC channels are what you want. In addition to being the TV and streaming provider for the Tour de France, NBC/Peacock also has some of the Spring Classics (like Paris-Roubaix), which might make this reasonably-priced subscription a must-have for cycling fans in 2024.

Let's take a look at the races offered on Peacock, pricing, and a review of the Peacock service, plus some info about cycling on NBC/USA/CNBC for cycling fans with cable and satellite subscriptions.

The 2024 Tour de France will be live-streamed on Peacock Premium

NBC Sports and Peacock Premium (the streaming service owned by NBC) own the exclusive broadcast and streaming rights for the 2024 Tour de France.* This article is for the USA. Outside the USA, YMMV, check with your local providers.

Peacock's Premium tier (the tier that carries the Tour de France) is a good value compared with other cycling streaming services, at $5.99 monthly on month-to-month billing, or $59.99 annually. Because Peacock doesn't have much cycling coverage in the Fall, that means you can subscribe for the Spring Classics and Tour de France and then cancel the service immediately afterward - no year-round commitment as is required with FloBikes.

What about the Tour de France Femmes?

All the same streaming and TV info applies to the Tour de France Femmes 2024, you'll tune in on Peacock or the NBC cable/satellite channels for live coverage, just as for the men's race.

The 2024 Tour de France will also be seen on NBC's USA and CNBC cable and satellite channels

For cycling fans who still have a cable or satellite TV subscription, the Tour de France can be found on the NBC-owned channels like USA and CNBC. In my opinion, Peacock is a much better way to watch cycling, it's more economical and available month-to-month, but if you already get these channels, it's nice to have a convenient way to watch on the big screen.

Cable and satellite subscribers should note that the NBCSN channel, where cycling was previously found, no longer exists. The NBC Sports Gold Cycling Pass is also discontinued, replaced by Peacock.

When is the 2024 Tour de France?

The 2024 Tour de France men's edition runs from June 29 to July 21, 2024.

The women's edition - Tour de France Femmes - takes place August 12 - 18, 2024.

Which other cycling races will be on Peacock? What about the Spring Classics?

Peacock subscribers will generally get the events owned by ASO, which NBC has licensed (in addition to the Tour de France) and those include:

  • the Tour de France
  • Paris-Roubaix
  • La Vuelta
  • Liège–Bastogne–Liège
  • La Flèche Wallonne
  • the Amstel Gold race

What about cyclocross on Peacock?

NBC/Peacock does not have cyclocross any longer, if you are interested in cyclocross streaming instead check out MAX with Bleacher Report, which is now the primary cyclocross streaming option for those in the USA.
