N-Gear Jump Stop Chain Guide
N-Gear Jump Stop Chain Guide
Front shifting can suffer when cyclocross or gravel bikes are ridden in wet, mud, and dirt then shifted under load. Many riders have felt the frustration of the chain falling off to the inside of the crankset, frustrating in training and worse, can easily cost you a race in a competitive environment.
N-Gear's Jump Stop addresses this problem by adding a physical barrier that prevents the chain from diving past your inner chainring. It installs easily in just minutes using nothing more than an allen wrench and doesn't require breaking or removing the chain to complete installation.
At about 30 grams and just $10, it's inexpensive insurance for any cyclocross racer. With this additional protection installed, you can aggressively downshift instead of babying the shifter, without worry of dropping the chain.
- To choose the right Jump Stop, measure the outer diameter of your seat tube (this item only fits bikes with round seat tubes)
- Works with 1, 2, or 3 chainring drivetrains
- to mount Jump Stop, your bike needs about 18mm of vertical space on the seat tube, at about the same height, or a little higher, than the inner ring
