Donnelly X'Plor MSO World Cup WC Adventure and Gravel Tire

Donnelly's WC (World Cup) line brings a new level of performance for gravel racers and riders who demand the very best from their tires. Featured here in the MSO tread pattern, this tire is designed to handle multiple conditions like gravel racing, adventure rides, or even off-road touring. MSO is named after the airport code from Missoula, Montana, which happens to be the home of the Adventure Cycling Association.

Made in Europe - a rarity

There's nothing wrong with bicycle tires made in Asia, but for their World Cup line, Donnelly wanted something more, and has thus elected to make these tires in Europe where the utmost attention to detail is possible. The casing is the highest quality nylon available, using 240 TPI construction. The result is an incredibly supple tire with a difference you can feel on the trail.

Tan sidewalls for a classic look or black for modern style

This version features a choice of distinctive tan sidewalls for a classic, eye-turning look, or modern black sidewalls for a modern style. In the center of the tread, you'll find a smooth-rolling section that works great on pavement while you're riding to the trailhead or in between dirts segments. At the edges, there are intermediate knobs and larger, aggressive shoulder lugs for cornering grip once you hit the dirt or gravel.

Multiple width options

I like the 40mm wide version for modern gravel and cyclocross bikes that have enough tire and fork clearance to accept this wider version. If you have an older bike, consider the 36mm wide option for frames/forks with limited tire clearance. 

WC (World Cup) Compound and Construction

The X'Plor MSO World Cup also uses a soft rubber compound to provide extra grip and shock absorption. This is a tubeless casing reinforced against wear and uses an Aramid (folding) bead to reduce weight.
